About the school

Presbyterian English School,Tanhril Pastorate was established in the year 1998 by the joined churches under Tanhril Pastorate. The main motive behind it's independence from Presbyterian English School,Luangmual Pastorate was to access standard education to it's local population. The aim is also to impart spiritual and moral growth of a student and to shape the personal and social development of a student. It emphasizes in promoting high academic standard within the potential of the child as uniquely created by God and to help reach the students their full academic potential.One of the most important founding reason is to promote good citizenship.

The School was granted provisional permission by the Deptt. of Education and Human Resources on 5th March 2002 and affiliation was granted by the Mizoram Board of School Education on 18th May 2004.
